You've got the colors very interesting.
Those figures are fine: there seems to be some sense of the space and time of the portrait painted into the scene. Not sure how to describe it but when I look at them there is an arrest of the light at that moment that is, well, I guess, kind of remarkable. The only ones like that I remember are some of Hopper's (not Nighthawks - maybe After the Opera or whatever it's called).
